Twilight / Stephenie Meyer

I must admit, I'm more than a little late to the party... But I don't think that really matters. This book was so hard to put down, I read it every chance I got. To be honest, I didn't think I was going to like Twilight. I thought it wasn't going to live up to all the hype.
                                                    WARNING SPOILERS BELOW

I overall enjoyed the book, even though there were just a few details I wasn't crazy about. For example, I didn't like that Edward or Jacob, had so much control over Bella. Edward and Bella's relationship did seem to be a bit rushed to me, but that's easily overlooked. All in a time span of two days, they had their first kiss, and then met each others families.
The major plot of the tracker, happens so fast, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I wanted to cry and scream. Especially in The Angel, when Bella almost dies. I don't think I really expected Bella to wake up and question why Edward didn't transform her. I mean, you literally almost died and he saved your life... You should be thanking him.
Then Prom, that was amazing. Jacob hinting that he liked Bella, oh boy I can just see it now. Edward and Bella are life though, I really like them together.

The Ruby Circle / Full Bloodlines Series Review

Wow, just wow. I'm at a loss for words, this series was beyond exceptional. I can't believe that it's already over. It seems like just yesterday Sydney had arrived at Palm Springs, now she's living with Adrian in Northern Maine.   I'm sad to leave this series behind, I loved it. Maybe even more than I loved Vampire Academy
The Ruby Circle was an amazing closure to the Bloodlines Series.  The epilogue, blew my mind. It was absolutely perfect. As much as I hate to see them leave, I'm glad that Adrian and Sydney are now able to be together. I wanted them together from the moment they officially met in Bloodlines. They've been through thick and thin together, and I'm just really happy that they're now able to have peace and live a somewhat normal life. They deserve it.
I was so worried for Sydney in Silver Shadows, the reunion with Adrian made my heart melt. While their wedding may have been rushed, it was perfect. I don't think I would have had it any other way. This book had me on the edge of my seat at all times, I finished it in a day. While it was a short book, it was perfect.
Honestly, I expected the alchemists to have Jill in The Ruby Circle. Her being kidnapped by Alicia and held by the warriors, was completely unexpected. In my mind, the alchemists were the bad guy, and they still are. Although, I do have a soft spot for Stanton, I feel like there is more to her then meets the eye. When Sydney made the request to trade intel for Jill's rescue and amnesty for everyone, I didn't think Stanton would go through with it at first. I think she understands Sydney and isn't corrupt like the other alchemists, but I could be wrong.
I would have liked to learn a bit more, about Declan to be perfectly honest. But as long as he is safe, that's all that matters. Sydney and Adrian are now a little family, it makes me want to cry they're so perfect. Against all odds, they survived. Their situation might not be ideal for most people, but they're living. In the end, all that matters is they're able to be together, and be safe with each other. I can't believe that this is the last time, we'll ever experience their point of views, yet I wouldn't trade this ending for another.
The Ruby Circle and the Bloodlines Series, gets a 10/10. There was not a time, when it disappointed me. It was flawless, and may have just stole the crown and become my favorite series! Just kidding, but it's pretty high on my list of favorites now. This series was like a drug, and I could not get enough. Thank You Richelle Mead, you never cease to amaze me.

Bloodlines / Richelle Mead

I absolutely loved this book, and cannot wait to read The Golden Lilly. I finished it in three days, reading it any chance I got. I have to admit reading in first person threw me off at first, I haven't read first person in forever. I could be wrong, but I also remember Vampire Academy being told in third person????
I love Sydney Sage, she's a character I feel like I can connect with. Feeling out of place in society, this was more Jill while at Amberwood Prep, but Sydney also felt out of place with the vampires.  I too can relate with feeling pressured to impress our parents, or others within a certain society.
Adrian Ivashkov, is perfect. I think we all fell in love with him when he first appeared in Frostbite and what happens between him and Rose is truly heart breaking. He's my baby, I feel as if I want to protect him. He has some pretty funny lines in this book, I can see how Sydney finds him annoying, but that's just the way he is.
From the begging I could see their relationship forming, I ship them already. I need them to be together, they'd just be too cute. When Adrian told Sydney, that she would be “Everything's about my personal entertainment. The world is my stage. Keep it up- you're becoming a star performer in the show.”
Richelle Mead, Bloodlines"  I absolutely died fan girling. Then when he made the comment about her eyes, ooh I couldn't handle it. I raved to my friends about it.
When Sydney broke it to the tattoo shop with Adrian, I about died laughing at his request for a Skeleton riding a motor cycle with flames coming out of it, a pirate hat on the skeleton, a skeleton parrot with a pirate hat. Or the Ninja Skeleton. But the real point is, I knew from the moment Sydney figured out that there was vampire blood in the vials-that it was Keith. I mean who else would it be? He seemed shady from the begging, and absolutely got what he deserved.
But Lee, I never expect that. It came out of nowhere. Although I guess I should have paid more attention when he said that he wanted Jill and him to be together forever and immortal. I had no words when he pulled the knife on Sydney, it was completely unexpected. I wouldn't have guessed it. When the "crew" was at the mini golf course, I didn't think anything of it when he refused to make steam for Jill, I thought he was just trying to respect Sydney and not freak her out even more. But now that It had been revealed that he was formally a Strigori, it makes more sense to me.  Then when Adrian busted in, he was so calm about it, acting like it was no big deal. I actually thought they had a chance of escaping after Sydney punched him. Then when Eddie and Jill came to the rescue, I was relived.
I can't forget to mention the fire amulet Mrs. Terwilliger had her make, I don't know why, but she reminded me of a bird or something.  It was the strangest request ever, and I doubted it would work. But Sydney proved me wrong. I'm a little thrown off to as why it wouldn't work for her earlier in the book and as to why it did work for her when she was in danger, it's certainly has raised my suspicions.

Starting Over

So I've been gone for a while now, for no reason at all really. You may have notice that I have completely deleted all of my previous posts...  and changed the blog background. That is well, because I'm starting completely over. Instead of deleting this blog and starting from scratch, I am proud to announce Awkwardit is returning!
Instead of posting about life and other issues, I have decided to make this a book blog! Solely devoted to my two hundred books before graduation goal! Every now and then there will be posts on current topics, or topics that I consider important, but for the main part this will be a book blog.
Thank You For reading!
